Today's accomplishments 10/17/07

A glorious day!  It rained cats and dogs a few times, but we got a lot of stuff done today anyway.

Yolanda's House

  • installed ALL the doors; Yolanda is sooooo happy to have a bathroom door with a lock on it!
  • installed a wood floor in the living room and dining room
  • prepped back bedrooms for laying down tile (leveled with cement)
  • continued installing the AC system

Lina's and Royden's house

  • completed wood floor in living room and family room
  • installed about half o the beh baseboard
  • completed tile in the kitchen, powder room, and utility room
  • the electrician came and installed outlets and switches... and he shared his boom box with us so we enjoyed tunes today

Home at FPNO

  • Spike and Linda cooked a delicious mexican feast for close to 40 people
  • Hosted Eric and Deborah from Albany, Royden and Lena and kids, Yolanda, Frank & Nicki, Leanna, Henry & Diane, and Cliff and Nieta for dinner
  • Treated to a wonderful interactive concert by Bones playing the bones and an assortment of other kitchen band instruments

We are grateful for our ministry and shocked that we are half done.  We are very grateful for what we have accomplished, and praying that we complete all the projects that we have on our radar.

Fortunately, Eric and Deborah are going to be at FPNO for three weeks with their friends from Albany to continue our work and other projects that they have started in the past.  We may enjoy the blessing of working with them sometime during our remaining time together, and are pleased that such a capable group will be in place when we leave.

I am returning to Barrington tomorrow morning with Curt so that we can prepare for Sunday's worship service at home.  I am so grateful to have witnessed the great things that are being done in New Orleans.  Please pray for our teams projects and health as they complete their mission projects over the next two days.
