Hello from New Orleans. We had another fantastically productive day!
Lena and Royden's house
- caulked windows
- tiled bathroom floor
- laid wood floor in family room and kitchen
- cut and hung doors
- laid subfloor
Cheryl's house
- Julie and Paige tiled the entire kitchen floor
- installed new front door
- installed new medicine cabinet with mirror and lights
- hung several coordinated lights
- Curt installed about 8 locks, hand-chiseling the holes to make the bolts fit and operate smoothly... he had to do about half of them twice, to correct for glitches after the doors were hung
- cleaned out unneeded supplies
Yolanda's House
- prepped floors to install new flooring
- delivered replacement air conditionaer unit
- delivered 5 new doors
Cliff & Nieta's house
- delivered and installed new central air conditioning unit
Home team at church:
- worked on setting up and loading up photo galleries to this web site; other administrative set up activities
- prepared meals and shopped for the next set of meals (I was thinking, at home we have 4 family members; feeding 20 people is like having to prepare 5 days worth of food in a single day. Can you imagine preparing a full work week full of food every day?)
- evening devotions
- sang Happy Birthday to Lukass back in Chicago via cell phone
- Mari & Nancy got the famous Cliff Nunn New Orleans tour
- Dorothy prepared to provide ministry for a new homeowner who needs some care
- Sent out emails to PCB members asking them to live this mission trip with us through this web site.
Curt used power tools again today, and again, no one got hurt! God is good.
Thanks for all your prayers and encouragement. Please sign up and post comments to any and all of our blogs... it helps us feel loved through you.

Inspiring!
We welcomed Curt and Mari back to the church in Barrington today: they look tired but happy! When we mentioned how much we love reading this blog for daily updates, Mari suggested we post a comment so you'll know we are with you in spirit! Reading your daily stories is almost like daily prayer........it definitely inspires and shows us that a "can-do" attitude for helping others is alive and well. So keep those posts coming if you can! Hope you can keep that high energy level going for a few more days!
